Bet on Women - Joan Benoit
In 1979, Joan Benoit took the running world by storm when she won her first Boston Marathon while still a senior at Bowdoin College. Benoit quickly became one of the best marathoners in the world and went on to win her second Boston Marathon in 1983 in a record time of 2:22:43. The following year, Benoit cemented herself as a running icon when she won the first-ever women’s marathon at the Summer Olympic Games in Los Angeles. Always Bet on Women.
